- Palliative Care - The Foundation has provided advocacy, support, and education toward development of end-of-life care in Malawi, Central Africa- We have specifically supported the development of the Palliative Care Association of Malawi. Dr. Grigbsy has traveled throughout the country lecturing on Pain and Palliative Care, addressing the availability of pain relievers at the end-of-life and the training needed to administer them.
- Medical Education- Malawi - HealthRoots has partnered with Dae Yang Luke Hospital in Lilongwe, Malawi, with the endorsement of the Mayo Clinic Alumni Association, to provide medical education to the staff and Doctors at the hospital. We are committed to finding ways to provide electronic information transfer and to facilitating relationships between
- Medical Education-USA - The Annual Napa Pain Conference, sponsored by HealthRoots, in its 17th year, is the premier independent Pain Management Conference in the United States. Attracting 200 participants it addresses the needs of the most clinically underserved patients in our country, those with chronic pain. It also serves as a major funding source for the work of the Foundation.
